This report exposes the harsh realities faced by accounting interns in Sri Lanka, including excessive working hours, inadequate allowances, denial of overtime payments, and violations of fundamental labor rights. Through real-life testimonies and policy analysis, the study investigates how a toxic overwork culture has become normalized within parts of the professional accounting and auditing sector, placing young professionals at serious physical, mental, and economic risk.
